The K.E.E.P. Experience

Kilkenny Eastern Environs Project (K.E.E.P.) has served Kilkenny city and the greater southeast region with experienced, professional and confidential service. Our highly skilled facilitators are strong advocates, professional project developers and course content creators with B.A. and M.A. qualifications in the following:

• HDip in Gender Equality and Diversity 

• Postgraduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution,

• International peacebuilding,

• BA 1st class Hons Professional Social care

• Certified in Train the Trainer

Kilkenny Eastern Environs Project (KEEP) is a vibrant community group for older people that remains active throughout the year. 

We are staffed by volunteers and qualified professionals who motivate members and participants to take personal responsibility for group activities. 

Encouraging proactive involvement by members in programme modules helps to prevent a scenario of passive participants, which is detrimental to groupdevelopment and growth. 

Ensuring our members feel included is integral to  our community ethos and is at the heart of our activities. There is a strong focus on lifelong learning. 

Non formal and informal education methods are used. 

Our most recent projects were designed and delivered at the behest of our members, and this participation allows them to take ownership of the group and of the programmes. 

As may be deduced from the following list the requested activities cover a wide spectrum highlighting the interests of our members and their desire to expand horizons through civic engagement.

Throughout all activities KEEP endeavours to deliver a fundamental understanding surrounding ideals of democracy, freedom and human rights that shine through the values vociferously promulgated by the European Union.
